Data used for identify connection man and natural as well as issues damage environment and resistance in the novella with use approach ecocriticism. This research reveals three results. The first, it shows a harmonious and deep relationship between the Athshe tribe and nature. The Athshe tribe respects nature and is connected through their belief in dreams, and lives side by side with nature in a balanced way. They utilize nature without destroying it, but instead maintain the balance of nature. The second, it highlights the issue of environmental damage that arises from humans' view of nature as a resource that can be exploited. Humans destroy nature by cutting down forests for personal interests without caring about the negative impacts, namely ecosystem damage and oppression. These actions are carried out with force and violence, without considering the rights of the Athshe tribe. The third, it finds out how the Athshe tribe fights to defend their nature using their culture and beliefs. Their dreams build courage and resistance strategies, led by the character Selver. This resistance begins with sabotage, the formation of organizations, and rebellion in the form of attacks. These efforts succeed in maintaining their identity and nature. So, this study shows that the importance of protecting nature and freedom in the context of the novella is a real example of the resistance needed to overcome the problem of environmental damage.
