Abstract
This study analyzes the words in Bajo Language that uses in Kayoa Sub�District South Halmahera Regency through Morphological Approach. The research is focused on identifying, divide and analyzing the words in Bajo Language that either used Prefix, Infix, Suffix, or multiple affixes. This research uses the qualitative research method and descriptive analysis method to solve the problems in a form of table then describe it and analyze it. This study uses Morphological Approach as a helping tool to understand the definition of affixes and its kind. Morphological Approach is also used to realize that there are words that uses more than one kind of affixes. The result of this study is the researcher finds that prefix (Da-, Ka-, Ma-, Na-, Si-, Ta-, Ti-) is the affix that easiest to find in Bajo Language, while infix (-al-, -am-, -ap-, -ar-, -at-, -um-) is the hardest to find, and Bajo Language has the least variants of suffix (-ang, -i, -u). There are some words in Bajo Language that doesn’t have a direct one to one translation into other language. The next result of this study is, the researcher also found that the combination of one prefix and one suffix is the only combination found in Bajo Language words that used multiple affixes.
