Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the forms in the use of Sagean personal pronouns based on situation and context. In this study, researchers used the method of a pragmatic study, where pragmatics as one of the fields of linguistics that specializes in studying the relationship between language and speech context. The results show that in the use of pronouns Sagea has a relevant comparison with English. is a short word we use as a simple substitute for the proper name of a person. Each of the English personal pronouns shows us the grammatical person, gender, number, and case of the noun it replaces. I, you, he, she, we, they, me, him, her, us, and them are the personal pronouns in English. Similarly, personal pronouns in sagea also indicate the grammatical person, gender, number and case of the noun they replace. Yes, awé, i, i, ité, si, ya, i, i, amé, and neste are the personal pronouns in sagea. Possessive pronouns can be divided into singular and plural forms. According to its function in sagea possessive adjective is used to explain the noun (noun) but the location of the possessive adjective can be before or after the noun. Whereas possessive pronouns are used to refer to the ownership of a person or thing that is owned by the person or thing itself. In sagea possessive pronouns can be followed by a noun or not. Reflexive pronouns in English are: "Myself, Yourself, Himself, Herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, and themselves. In Sagea they are: " Ya ro, Awé ro, I ro, I ro, Nje ro. Amé ro/ Ité ro, Mewe ro, and Si ro. KEY WORDS: Personal pronoun, possessive, reflexive, and pragmatics study
