Abstract

The objective of the research to find out the student’s analysis idiomatic expressions on westlife’s song at sixth semester of English education study program of Khairun University. Researcher applied the method of qualitative description. This research there are 15 participants of the 6(six) semester English Language Education Study Program of Khairun University. To collect the data, researchers used instrument in the form of song test. These results show that: identify the idiomatic expression in the song and interpret its meaning however they cannot identify all the idiomatic expression contained in that song.
