Abstract

Tujuam penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran menulis teks berita dengan model pembelajaran picture and picture pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Kota Ternate.. (2) Untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran picture and picture pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Kota Ternate dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian Tindakan kelas, tempat penelitian di SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Kota Ternate kelas VIII Semester I dengan jumlah siswa 20. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni, observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Alat pengumpulan data meliputi lembar kerja siswa (LKPD) dan lembar pengamatan/observasi. Data dianalisis dengan Teknik rumus persentase. Berdasarkan analisis dan interpretasi data makab diperoleh hasi penerapan model pembelajaran picture and picture untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Kota Ternate. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture pada siklus I dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture, siswa belum mencapai peningkatan nilai yaitu nilai rata-rata sebesar 64% dan pengamatan pada siklus I pada siswa dan guru menunjukkan hasil yang cukup baik, sedangkan penilaian siklus II dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture siswa telah mencapai peningkatan nilai dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 83,6%, dan pengamatan guru sudah sangat baik dalam mengajar, dan siswa sudah sangat baik dalam menerima pembelajaran, sehingga hasil pada siklus II ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran guru dan siswa dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture mampu meningkatkan kemampuan dan keberhasilan siswa dalam menulis teks berita. Improvement of News Text Writing Skills with the Picture and Picture Learning Model in Grade VIII Students of SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Ternate City. Guided by Sulami Sibua, S.Pd, M.Pd, as supervisor I and Darlisa Muhamad, S.Pd, M.Pd, as supervisor II. The seven objectives of this study are (1) to describe the learning process of writing news texts with a picture and picture learning model in grade VIII students of SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Ternate City. (2) To find out whether the application of the picture and picture learning model to grade VIII students of SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Ternate City can improve student learning outcomes. The type of research uses classroom action research, the research site at SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Ternate City grade VIII Semester I with a total of 20 students. The data collection techniques used are, observation, interviews, tests and documentation. Data collection tools include student worksheets (LKPD) and observation/observation sheets. The data was analyzed by the percentage formula technique. Based on data analysis and interpretation, the results of the application of the picture and picture learning model to improve news text writing skills in grade VIII students of SMP Muhamadiyah 2 Ternate City were obtained. Improvement of news text writing skills using the picture and picture learning model in cycle I In learning to write news texts using the picture and picture learning model, students have not achieved an increase in scores, namely an average score of 64% and observations in cycle I on students and teachers show quite good results, while the assessment of cycle II in learning to write news texts using The picture and picture learning model of students has achieved an increase in grades with an average score of 83.6%, and the teacher's observation has been very good in teaching, and the students have been very good in receiving learning, so that the results in the second cycle can be concluded that the role of teachers and students in using the picture and picture learning model is able to improve students' ability and success in writing news texts
