Abstract

ABSTRAK Hasbila Rajiman, 2025. “Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa Melalui Penerapan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Pada Materi Sistem Pertidaksamaan Linear Dua Variabel” (suatu penelitian pada siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025) Di Bawah Bimbingan Dr. Ida Kurnia Waliyanti, S.Si., M.Sc dan Ahmad Afandi, S.Pd., M.Pd. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate setelah diterapkannya pendekatan realistic mathematics education (RME) pada materi sistem pertidaksamaan linear dua variabel. 2) Bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate setelah diterapkannya pendekatan reali stic mathematics education (RME) pada materi sistem pertidaksamaan linear dua variabel. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan one grup pretest posttest. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X-A SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes Sedangkan teknik analisis data men ggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan realistic mathematics education (RME) pada materi sistem pertidaksamaan linear dua variabel bahwa adanya peningkatan dilihat dari hasil nilai rata-rata pretest 50,41 dan nilai rata-rata posttest 82,50. 2) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis sisw a setelah diterapkan pendekatan realistic mathematics education pada materi sistem pertidaksamaan linear dua variabel dengan nilai N-Gain ternormalisasi 0,64 dalam kategori sedang. ABSTRACT Hasbila Rajiman, 2025. “Improving Students' Mathematical Communication Skills Through the Application of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach to the Material of Two-Variable Linear Inequality Systems” (a study on class X-A students of SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate in the 2024/2025 Academic Year) Under the Guidance of Dr. Ida Kurnia Waliyanti, S.Si., M.Sc and Ahmad Afandi, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims to determine: 1) There is an increase in the mathematical communication skills of class X-A students of SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate after the application of the realistic mathematics education (RME) approach to the material of two-variable linear inequality systems. 2) How is the increase in the mathematical communication skills of class X-A students of SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate after the application of the realistic mathematics education (RME) approach to the material of two-variable linear inequality systems. The design of this study used one group pretest posttest. The sample in this study were class X A students of SMA Negeri 5 Kota Ternate in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The data collection technique used a test instrument while the data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of this study indicate that 1) There is an increase in students' mathematical communication skills through the application of the realistic mathematics education (RME) approach to the material of two-variable linear inequality systems that there is an increase seen from the results of the average pretest score of 50.41 and the average posttest score of 82.50. 2) An increase in students' mathematical communication skills after the application of the realistic mathematics education approach to the material of two-variable linear inequality systems with a normalized N-Gain value of 0.64 in the moderate category.
