Abstract

ABSTRACT Ajud Apriyana, 2019. Exploring the Problems of Students in Listening to Understanding in the English Language Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Khairun University. Is a thesis, Language and Literature Education Study Program, Teaching and Education Faculty at KhairunUniversity. Advisor: 1). SaifulLatif, S.Pd.,M.Hum, 2). Anwar Ismail, S.Pd., M.Hum, This study aims to determine students' problems in listening comprehension. This is qualitative research. The subjects consisted of fifty-four (54) students in class A and B. The researcher used two instruments namely questionnaire and interview data. The results showed that there were several problems that occurred with students' listening comprehension. There are three factors identified by students in their listening problems, such as, listening material, listening factors, and related to physical regulation. 50.36% found problems with Listening material, 8,35% have problem with listeners factor, 50,33% have problems with physical settings.
