The objective of this research was to find out the types of translation equivalence and the level of non-equivalence in the TV series “Wednesday.” The approach applied in this research was qualitative content analysis. The data source was taken from the subtitle of episode 1 of the Wednesday TV series, translated from English to Indonesian by Rizky Soraya. The techniques of data analysis in this research were: (1) data collection; (2) data reduction; (3) data display; and (4) conclusion. The result of this research showed that formal equivalence dominates in the subtitle translation process, which involves 41 data. The dynamic equivalence data is identified as many as 31 data. In addition, some translations show non-equivalence, namely at the word level of as much as two data, and at the pragmatic level of as much as two data. The total amount of data is 76 utterances. Keywords: Translation, formal, dynamic, equivalence
