Hesti Harun, 2024. Abusive Language From Local Language (Makian) Among Tennagers In The Community Enviroment In Koli Village Kec. Oba Halmahera, North Maluku. (Based on a sociolinguastic approach) (Dibimbing Oleh Sutisno Adam and Sartika Putri Sailudin) Abusive language is an expression uttered by a person with the intention of blaspheming and insulting others using indecent or abusive words. This study aims to find out the forms of abusive language (swearing) and the factors of abusive language (tabanese) thrown by teenagers in Koli Villages. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a socipragmatic approach. The data collection techniques are observation, and interviews. The observation was made when the teenagers gathered at the base in the village of Koli. The Researcher has interviewed 15 teenagers in Koli Village. The results of this study showed that the form of abusive language (tabanese) is classified into positive and negative forms used by teenagers in Koli Village, namely expressing words in animal references, astral creature references, body part references, state references and object references. The factors that affect abusive language are environmental factors, social factors, and individual factors. The teenagers of Koli Village consider it natural and feel accustomed to saying these abusive language.
