Abstract

Fatiyah M A,2025. Students’ Competence in Using Adverb of Manner at English Education Study Program of Khairun University.Thesis, English Education, Faculty of Teacher Traning and Education, University Khairun. Supervisor (I)Dr. Drs. Sutaryo M.Ed.,TESOL..,M.Ed, and Supervisor (II) Sri Budi Ayu Lestari, S.Pd.,M.Pd. The purpose of this research was to analyze the second semester students’ competence in using adverb of manner. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The subject of the research was 30 students of second semester student at English Education Study Program Of Khairun University. In collecting the data, The researcher used a test fifteen contained multiple choice questions, Fifteen fill in the blanks question and ten essay question. The research finding showed that there are two students (6.66%) were in the excellent category, three students (10 %) were in the good category, and seven students (23.3%) were in the sufficient category. And four students fall into (13,3 %) poor and fourteen (46,7%) students were in very poor category The averange score of sudents score is 50,66 therenfore it can be concluded that the students competence innusing adverb of
