Abstract

Novita Sidete, 2025. Students’ Mastery of English Vocabulary Language Study Program of Khairun University. Thesis, English Education Study _ Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Khairun University Advisor: (I) Silvani Umar Ali, SS, S.Pd.,M.Hum (II) Dr. Ali Ajam S.Pd M.Pd The research aimed to determine the vocabulary mastery of English language education students. The research used descriptive quantitative with 43 students participating from total of 45 English language students in semester 1 class B as a sample at the Faculty of Training and Education. Data collection for this research used vocabulary test in the form of multiple choices about parts of speech. The multiple choice vocabulary test was used to measure students’ vocabulary mastery based on results of the research test students’ vocabulary mastery was still lacking the average value obtained was 52,02 % with a classification of Very Poor 34,88 % Poor 18,60 % Fair 23,26 % Good 23,26 % and Very Good 0 %. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that students’ vocabulary mastery is still lack, as seen from the large number of very poor classification obtained 34,88%.
