Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Perubahan pola makan dan aktivitas fisik dimasyarakat contohnya terlalu banyak mengonsumsi makanan yang tinggi akan gula dan kurangnya aktivitas fisik dapat memicu terjadinya penyakit diabetes melitus. Tujuan: Mengetahui efektivitas dari ekstrak daging buah pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt) terhadap gambaran histopatologi hati tikus putih yang hiperglikemia Metode: Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah jenis rancangan penelitian secara eksperimental dengan populasi target yaitu tikus putih jantan galur wistar (Rattus norvegicus) dan sampelnya yaitu daging buah pala (Myristica fragrans Houtt) yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rendemen ekstrak daging buah pala sebanyak 10,53%. Dari data kadar gula darah pada kelompok perlakuan menunjukkan ekstrak daging buah pala dosis 100 mg/kgBB pada hari pertama sampai hari ketujuh terjadi penurunan kadar gula darah dengan nilai signifikansinya P=0,021 (P≤0,05). Untuk gambaran histopatologi hati ditemukan adanya sel normal, degenerasi parenkim, degenerasi hidropik dan nekrosis pada semua kelompok dan berdasarkan hasil skoring manja roenignk bahwa ekstrak daging buah pala dosis 100 mg/kgBB memiliki tingkat kerusakan yang paling ringan diantara semua kelompok dengan nilai siginifikansinya P=0,02 (P≤0,05). Simpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Dosis ekstrak daging buah pala 100 mg/kgBB memiliki efek menurunkan kadar gula darah dan memperbaiki kerusakan pada hati, tetapi pada dosis 200 mg/kgBB dan dosis 300 mg/kgBB memiliki efek kerusakan pada gambaran histopatologi hati. Somadayo1 1Pharmacy study program, Faculty of Medicine, Khairun University ABSTRACT Background: Changes in eating patterns and physical activity in society, for example consuming too much food high in sugar and lack of physical activity can trigger diabetes mellitus. Aim: To determine the effectiveness of nutmeg flesh extract (Myristica fragrans Houtt) on the histopathological picture of the liver of white rats with hyperglycemia Methods: The type of research carried out was an experimental research design with the target population being male Wistar white rats (Rattus norvegicus) and the sample being nutmeg pulp (Myristica fragrans Houtt) which met the inclusion criteria. Results: The results of this study showed that the yield of nutmeg pulp extract was 10.53%. From the data on blood sugar levels in the treatment group, it showed that nutmeg flesh extract at a dose of 100 mg/kgBB on the first to the seventh day resulted in a decrease in blood sugar levels with a significance value of P=0.021 (P≤0.05). For the liver histopathology, it was found that there were normal cells, parenchymal degeneration, hydropic degeneration and necrosis in all groups and based on the results of Manja Roenignk scoring, nutmeg flesh extract at a dose of 100 mg/kgBW had the lightest level of damage among all groups with a significance value of P=0 .02 (P≤0.05). Conclusion: It can be concluded that a dose of nutmeg flesh extract of 100 mg/kgBW has the effect of lowering blood sugar levels and repairing damage to the liver, but at a dose of 200 mg/kgBW and a dose of 300 mg/kgBW it has a damaging effect on the histopathological picture of the liver.
