Abstract

This research was carried out to analyze students pronunciation focus on the words pronunced and words stress in English words of the dialogue text using role play setting. The method used in this research is a pure qualitative method. The subjects of the research were thirty (30) students in the second semester of class A at Khairun University. The data in this research were obtained through students audio and video recordings. The results of the research showed 21 respondents have good pronunciation of words, 8 respondents still have a difficulties pronunciation of words, and 1 respondent make a words mistake pronunciation. It can be said that the findings in this research were that students had good pronunciation in words pronunced and words stress using role play setting or pervorming group. Key Words: Pronunciation, Role play.
