Abstract
NAJILA DARWIS, 2024, Students' Speaking Skills In Academic Class Presentation. Khairun University English Language Education Study Program 2024. Advisor: (I) Dr. Ade Ismail, S.Pd., M.Pd., (II). Fitria Wulan Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., This research discusses students' speaking skills in academic class presentations, which is one of the most important skills to be taught to English students. In class there is a speaking activity, namely a presentation. The main aim of this research is to determine the challenges in speaking skills in presentation classes for students in the 5th semester of the English Language Education Study Program. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data is collected through observation and documentation. This analysis found speaking aspects and presentation aspects that influence students' speaking skills in presentation classes. Aspects of speaking include pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. Meanwhile, the presentation aspect includes presentation content, presentation organization, presentation delivery and answering questions. Keywords: speaking skills, class presentations, challenges
