Abstract

Nirwana Isra Qamariyah, 2024. The Feminism in the Songs By Tupac Shakur. Supervisor: Silvani Umar Ali, S.S., S.Pd., M.Hum. as supervisor I and Sri Ayu Budi Lestari, S.Pd., M.Pd as supervisor II. This research discusses feminism contained in the lirycs of Tupac Shakur‟s songs. The aim of this research is to determinne the values of feminism contained in the lyrics of these songs. The method used in this research is a content analysis research method which presents the research results using words. The results of this research show that there are feminist values contained in the song‟s lyrics, namely support for oppressed women, condemning acts of violence against women and participate inn voicing women‟s rights. Furthermore, there are several types of feminism that researcher found contained in the two songs, namely Liberal Feminism, Radical Feminism, Intersectional Feminism and Marxist Feminism. In Keep Ya Head Up there is one Liberal Feminism, one Intersectional Feminism, four Radical Feminisms and three Marxist feminisms, while in Wonda Why They Call U Bitch there is one Liberal Feminism and two Marxist feminisms.
